Kirk and Deb Harr founded Harr Family Homes in Washington State’s Puget Sound market in the mid-1980s. Since then, their family-owned company has built homes for over 3,000 families of varying budgets. The Harr’s success is based on the belief that a handcrafted home deserves the detail and quality of traditional homebuilding practices while incorporating fun, new design trends, and cutting-edge energy efficiency into a home that becomes a legacy for its homeowner, as well as its builder.
For over thirty years, Harr Family Homes has forged strong relationships with designers, landowners, citizens, local governments and planning boards to build homes and neighborhoods. The results have been quality homes at entry-level for families starting out, all the way to elaborate, executive homes on view-oriented custom homesites. And in each instance, the homebuying customer receives the attention to detail the Harr’s would give to their own family members.
Industry Leadership
Kirk’s leadership extended throughout the industry. He served as President of the Master Builder Association (NAHB affiliate), serves as a Lifetime Director and was inducted into the Master Builder Hall of Fame in 2005 in recognition for his years of service and innovation in the industry.
Today, the Harrs are home in their beloved Fountain Hills, Arizona where they have focused on building and investing since 2001. Projects include custom homes for themselves and others as well as land investments. They also spend time in their home state of Montana in the Swan River Valley.
Kirk is also a co-owner of Associated Companies in Williston, North Dakota.
